TVS motor's popular gearless scooter - Wego known for its bady balance. well its been pretty successful in its segment. Now the 2013 model of TVS Wegocomes with front disc brake.

The TVS Wego is powered by a 110cc engine producing 8 HP of power and 8 Nm of torque. It has a V-Matic transmission and a 5-litre fuel tank. The disc brake on the Wego costs an extra Rs. 3000/- as it is not a standard feature. The 2013 TVS Wego has been launched at a price of Rs. 50,000 (ex-showroom).

Tie-Up?

• Now a days we are hearing about the news about Hero motocorp-AVL(Anstalt für Verbrennungskraftmaschinen List) tie up or BMW-TVS tie up or Bajaj-KTM tie up. 
• Bajaj and KTM are together for a long time than the Hero motocorp -AVL and there is no confirmation of BMW-TVS tie up. Hoping for confirmation of BMW-TVS tie up. We can expect even more good quality products from TVS and also the BMW bikes.
• Bajaj owns 47% stakes of KTM.

What is the profit that both companies get?

Well lets say that its like a win-win situation for both the companies. The companies less experienced or no experience in higher displacement segment can extract the expertise of the other and they can gain share in the market in the higher displacement segment or even they can apply new goodies into their present bikes.

While the other, who are famous for their bikes, their dependability, durability can use the other companies link to market their products. 

For example 'if' BMW-TVS ties-up TVS can use the expertise of BMW and BMW can use the market link that TVS has.

Yes you read it right BMW-TVS tie up. I know this is a mind blowing news!!
South Indian Major TVS which was previously in tie with the suzuki long years back.They now want to explore the expertise of the BMW. But between these companies there is no equity agreement as like the Bajaj and KTM.

Actually this is like win-win situation for both the companies. TVS can access the expertise of BMW and BMW can use the TVS network to market their products in the sub-continent.

Mr Venu Srinivasan, TVS Motors’ Chairman confirmed that the company is in talks with the BMW Motorrad, for a beneficial and strategic tie up.

Higher capacity bikes on the line by TVS

TVS which is currently had news on focusing on automatic transmission technology and hybrid technology. Qube is a scooter on which R&D team of TVS are currently working. It will be on the range of  Rs. 55,000/- to 60,000/-. which is higher than the present scooter market rate.

“Currently we produce only up to 180 cc and below; we will be entering the bigger bikes segment. There is a trend of moving towards bigger bikes; while the numbers are small, the growth is quite high.” 
Vinay Harne, President NPI, TVS Motor Company, said.

 So, a higher cc bikes will roll out. Lets not hope as like the rumor of Apache 250.

The company has not revealed engine configuration and the design and all so its a total surprise. One can expect the bikes by 2015.

   Apache RTR 160 is the product of one of the Indian company TVS. RTR 160(racing throttle responce) was released to give tough competition for the Bajaj's pulsar 150. TVS Apache was upgraded in the later stage as RTR. After that their sales went up.
