Yamaha FZ review

Intro

Yamaha FZ 16
Yamaha is well know for its R series bike which is known for power and adrenalin. It was also known for its reliability during the RX age. The sales of Yamaha bikes gradually decreased when the 2-stroke engines was banned. But they are back with the bang with stylish bikes as FZ, FZ-S and with budget friendly bikes as SZ, SZ-X and SZ-R.
In this post im going to tell you about Yamaha FZ (lord of the streets!).

Ex-showroom price Delhi : Rs.65000

Styling

Its the sexiest looking bike in its segment. Naked look, massive muscular tank, stylish head light and dont forget the important thing its 140mm rear tyres WIDEST IN INDIA in the segment!! The odo meter, trip meter, RPM meter all are digital. During the bright day light if the rider wants to know the RPM he is going at he has to concentrate more on the RPM meter to know the exact RPM of the bike. The pillion rider's seat was too small for comfort but now they have extended it. So there is no problem about it now.

Engine

Yamaha is famous for its smooth engine and gear box is unremarkable. FZ engine is an air-cooled, 4-stroke engine.
The engine is smooth like butter. One has to raise the accelerator to know whether engine is on or off. The gear box is as smooth as plucking the flowers petal. To know more about engine specification click here

Remark: 4.5/5

Handling

This is the part where Yamaha FZ is on top of the competitors. Due to its wide rear tyre which sticks to the ground provides the best road grip for the bike and ensures the safety of the rider. One can go anyhow he likes bend, zig-zag manner (not recommended without safety measures and guidance) it provides enough grip to boost the confidence of the rider.
The front disc and rear drum brakes is more than enough to stop the bike at
The sitting position is good for daily commuting, zipping through traffic. Don't know about using this bike for a long road trip. I have not gone for any kind of trip with this bike. So if anybody knows please do tell me [ :) ]

Remark: 5/5

Mileage

This is the part where Yamaha FZ is in bottom place of all the competitors. The mileage of the bike is around 35. But one may get upto 40. It all depends on the engine condition and riding styles. Proper servicing will yield more mileage.

Remark: 3.5/5

Overall it is a very good bike for young blood such as me. But we should have a deep pocket to burn the rubber with smile.
